I like to do messy work outside (repeat cuts with wood work, grinding, anything that makes a mess really). At the moment I use a craptacular collapsing stand but I’m thinking a outdoor workbench might be a good bet.

Want to build it once, and it be good for at least 5 years so rot is the issue. Plan to make it out of wood, so keeping the legs off the ground seems a good bet.

Any other tips?

Should I use pressure treated wood, or just slather it in varnish?
