French Door Fridge Issues

I have a 6 year old Kenmore French Door (bottom freezer) fridge that’s been having issues regulating it’s temperature. The first time it happened in early November we chalked it up to frost in the bottom back of the fridge. We let it thaw out and cleaned the back grills that did have lint and hair from our cats. After that it worked great for two weeks then it happened again but I didn’t find any frost on the inside. We left the fridge unplugged for a day then plugged back in and it worked for another week with no problem.

It’s now acting up again but now the temperature in the fridge is fluctuating anywhere between 33- 58 degrees throughout the day and the freezer is staying at -1 (has been doing this for the last five days). Any idea what could be causing this? Unfortunately it’s a Kenmore and the only repair tech in my town that will look at it is Sears and it’s extremely hard to get them to come out and look at it (3 week wait). I’m looking into buying a replacement fridge this week unless someone has an idea what might be going on.
