I have a Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III.

I have zero idea of its age of history since it came with the house I bought 4 years ago, and the previous owner lived here for 3 years and it was installed when they bought the house.

A couple days ago it started making a grinding sound when it would go to the washing cycle, my dishes aren’t getting clean, and the detergent pod isn’t dissolving. I don’t think it’s the drain pump since I can remove the bottom panel and see water leaving the dishwasher and the sound goes away when draining.

I’ve disassemble the dishwasher best I can and did not find anything in the drain or the chopper. This leads me to believe it’s the circulation pump maybe?
