My problem? The sun, heat and rain.

I’m not looking to redo my entire screen enclosure. I’d ideally like to just screw something on top.

I’m looking for material that would either partially or fully block out the sun.

It also has to be water resistant. Not water proof.

I’m thinking of just getting a roll of the aluminum kick plate and stager them on top of each other. It would be noisy when it rains, but that’s fine.

Also note, there is a gutter between the enclosure and the house/roof. I’d stager the kick plate so that the water would land right in the gutter. I’m not concerned about not having gutters on the outside perimeter of the screen enclosure.
