Sullivan in line to start at QB for Hawkeyes vs Badgers; McNamara off depth chart
IOWA CITY, IOWA — Brendan Sullivan is in line for his first start as quarterback for the Iowa Hawkeyes when they welcome the Wisconsin Badgers to Kinnick Stadium, according to an initial depth chart released by the team on Monday.
Sullivan is listed as the starting QB, with Marco Lainez backing him up. Cade McNamara is not listed on the depth chart. Sullivan led the Hawkeyes to victory on Saturday versus his former school, Northwestern, after McNamara left in the second quarter due to an apparent injury. The Hawkeyes haven’t released any details on McNamara’s status since Saturday.
Sullivan transferred to Iowa in the offseason after two years at quarterback for the Northwestern Wildcats. Sullivan threw for 79 yards and rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown on Saturday in Kinnick is two-and-a-half quarters of play.
Iowa and Wisconsin kickoff at 6:30 pm on Saturday on WHO 13.
