Des Moines Police release name of south side shooting victim
DES MOINES, IOWA — Des Moines Police are releasing the name of a man killed in a shooting on the south side of Des Moines over the weekend.
The shooting happened in the 3400 block of South Union Street on Sunday afternoon. According to police, 21-year-old Tariq Reynolds was trying to intervene in an argument between two men when he was shot. Nineteen-year-old Martavius Green of Atlanta, Georgia is charged with First Degree Murder for the shooting death of Reynolds. He is being held without bond in the Polk County Jail.
