Two arrests made in connection to dead Marshalltown man
MARHSHALLTOWN, Iowa — Two arrests have been made in connection to a Marshalltown man who died Saturday.
The Marshalltown Police Department responded to a call of an injured man at North 12th Avenue on Saturday morning. They arrived on scene to find a severely injured man in critical condition. They began life saving measures and he was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
The man has now been identified as Ezra Oliver Seymour, age 23, of Tama.
Following an investigation into the death, two people were arrested by police on Sunday. Trequan Merez Cosgrove is charged with murder in the first degree and felon possession of a firearm.
Jaimee Yajaira Alcaraz-Gutierrez is charged with accessory after the fact. The are both being held at the Marshall County Jail.
