Marshalltown PD, Iowa DCI investigating Saturday death
DES MOINES, Iowa — Marshalltown Police Department investigates the death of a man who died on Saturday morning.
Marshalltown Police were called to North 12th Avenue and Bromley Street around 5:45 a.m. Saturday on reports of a medical emergency. A 911 caller reported a man was laying in the roadway on North 12th Street with serious injuries.
When they arrived emergency personnel found an unresponsive male, they immediately began providing medical care. The man was transported to a Marshalltown hospital and later transferred to a Des Moines medical facility. The man has since died.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and Marshalltown Police Department are conducting a death investigation. The cause of death is unknown at this time and the name of the man has not been released.
