Attorney General Merrick Garland visiting Urbandale National Night Out event
URBANDALE, IOWA — One of the top officials in the Biden-Harris Administration will be paying a surprise visit to National Night Out events in Iowa on Tuesday. Attorney General Merrick Garland will make stops in both Cedar Rapids and Urbandale as the cities take part in the national community building event.
Urbandale will host its annual celebration at their police department and the neighboring soccer field on 86th Street. The event is scheduled to last from 5:00-7:30 p.m.
Similar events will be held in communities across the state. The city of Des Moines has events planned at parks across town. Waukee, Ames, Marshalltown and Altoona all have celebrations planned as well.
