Olympic medalist Torri Huske has big weekend plans, and they involve Taylor Swift
PARIS, France (NEXSTAR) — Olympic swimmer Torri Huske still can’t contain her excitement after an outstanding performance at the Paris Olympics, where she won five medals for Team USA.
But her focus is now shifting to Taylor Swift.
“I’m seeing her on the 10th. I’m super excited. I’m a huge Swifty. Except that I actually haven’t gotten to see her in concert yet, just because with training and everything and the way things lined up, it was really hard to get tickets,” said Huske. “But now I get to see her. And not only that, but like, Tortured Poets Department and that new set are going to be there. So I get to see it in person now, which is exciting.”
Huske described her Olympic experience as surpassing all her expectations and called it “the meet of my life.” She said that setting high goals and believing in oneself can lead to remarkable achievements.
Being part of Team USA, she added, fills her with pride.
“Team USA is the most dominant and it has been since pretty much the sport has ever existed,” said Huske. “So yeah, team USA is the best country in the world, and I’m just so lucky to have their support behind me.”
Huske also acknowledged the impressive performance of the women of Team USA across various sports at the Olympics.
“I don’t know what to say other than women are awesome,” she said. “So yeah, we run the world … nothing more to say other than that.”
