$5,000 reward offered for information leading to Marshalltown homicide suspect
MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — Officials are now offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of an 18-year-old accused of fatally shooting an adult man in early June.
At around 1:20 a.m. on June 1, officers with the Marshalltown Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at Center Street Station Bar at 19 North Center Street. When first responders arrived on scene they found 41-year-old Ramon Alexis Feliciano Nieves suffering from a gunshot wound. Nieves was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Marshalltown police issued arrest warrants for 18-year-old Victor Antonio Delgadillo on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree harassment in connection to the fatal shooting.
On Wednesday police announced that Marshall County Crime Stoppers increased the reward for information that leads to Delgadillo to $5,000.
“Marshall County Crime Stoppers is a critically important public safety partner,” Marshalltown Police Chief Michael Tupper said in a press release. “We appreciate their generous support on this case and many others over the past nine years. This murder investigation is our number one priority. We will not rest until Mr. Delgadillo is safely taken into custody.”
According to the police department, Delgadillo has been receiving assistance from people, which has so far allowed him to evade law enforcement. Chief Tupper said anyone found to be assisting Delgadillo will be persecuted.
Anyone with information about this incident or Delgadillo’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police department at 641-754-5725. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Marshall County Crime Stoppers by calling 641-753-1234, or texting ‘marshall’ with the tip information to CRIMES (274637), or online.
