Man in critical condition after being pulled from Raccoon River
DES MOINES, Iowa — A man is fighting for his life after reportedly jumping into the Raccoon River according to Des Moines police.
Authorities said the call came in after 6 p.m. Saturday evening. Officers and firefighters responded to the scene along with a water emergency rescue team pulling him from the water near the 6th Street bridge.
Witnesses on the scene say CPR was administered at the scene. The man was take to a local hospital in critical condition, police say. No other information is available at this time.
