Managing Director – The Acting Company
The Acting Company (TAC) in New York City seeks an ambitious and talented arts administrator to serve as Managing Director as it prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022. Reporting directly to TAC’s Board of Directors as its chief executive officer, the Managing Director will take ownership of and skillfully lead all administrative, fundraising, financial, and communications aspects of the company.
The Managing Director will work in deep collaboration with a new part-time Artistic Director to be named by the Fall of 2021 on conception and execution of TAC’s touring repertory and other productions.
With creativity, rigor, and great insight into top-level theatrical production, the Managing Director will anticipate and adapt to change while remaining fully dedicated to TAC’s renowned history as the nation’s most significant touring theater company dedicated to uplifting young artists and giving them a forum to hone their craft.
The Managing Director will have a strong personal values commitment around Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) that will inform new ways for the company to expand its dedication to presenting expansive theatrical ideas brought to life by a group of artists and administrators from different backgrounds and experiences.
