Kids with guns
Last night your teenage grandson drove past my house and his friend in the backseat pointed a real handgun at me. I heard a metallic click. click. as he pulled the trigger twice. I guess i’m grateful ammo is so expensive and hard to find these days, because that girl who’s always leaving in a white truck has one too. I’m afraid to bring it up to you because like so many guardians you do your best to stay ignorant to their exploits, even when security footage caught his friends stealing a neighbors car you wouldn’t engage with it, and I’m afraid of what they would do to me or my property if I tried. How are all these kids across the country getting deadly weapons? I’m afraid of our youth, this portland neighborhood is turning into Gummo and it’s sick and sad and i can’t escape.
