Forecast: A few sprinkles with a warm weekend

Clouds and moisture from the remnants of Hurricane Francine kept our temperatures lower than yesterday for a pleasant Friday.

Today’s almanac:

We’ve seen a few spotty sprinkles this evening, and will continue to see those chances in spots on Saturday. Best chance will be east of I-35.

Lows will stay mild tonight under a blanket of clouds, especially in eastern Iowa:

We have a pretty nice weekend ahead, with warm temperatures. Folks heading to Iowa City should expect nice football weather with maybe a sprinkle here and there.

Highs for the upcoming six days stay warm:

You’ll notice dewpoints staying in the muggy range the next few days, with a respite on Thursday.

As we look farther ahead in the images below, it appears that warm temperatures will stick around, along with increased chances for rainfall as we head through the second half of September.
