Indiana orchard features Caitlin Clark in 2024 corn, soybean maze
HOBART, Ind. — As the fall season approaches in Indiana, many turn to pumpkin spice, trick-or-treating and/or apple picking to celebrate the season.
One Hobart, Indiana farm is putting an Indiana Fever spin on an autumn staple this season.
The County Line Orchard, located at 200 S County Line Rd. in Hobart, is featuring Caitlin Clark, a guard for the Indiana Fever, as the design for its 2024 corn and soybean maze this fall.
In the past, the orchard has featured various designs for its mazes, including sunflowers, apples, honey bees, the 2016 presidential election, Pac-Man and the Chicago Cubs in honor of the team’s 2016 World Series championship.
Officials told FOX59CBS4 that Dana More, the orchard’s chief operating officer, is a huge fan of supporting youth and women’s sports and has a family full of Clark fans.
“(More’s) nieces came up with the idea to make the corn maze into the shape of Caitlin Clark,” officials said. “Tom, our owner, LOVED the idea, and they ran with it.”
In her inaugural season for the Fever, Clark has averaged around 19 points and 8.5 assists per game. Clark and the 2024 Fever team clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2016.
According to previous reports, Clark was the number one pick of the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft and is the all-time leading scorer in the history of college basketball at any level after her time at Iowa.
The orchard hosted its opening day for this season on Aug. 28, according to its website. For more information, click here.
