Canadian Olympic gymnast Cassie Lee a future Hawkeye
Canadian gymnast Cassie Lee is competing in her first Olympics in Paris and already has some time on the beam under her belt in the team competition. Team Canada has qualified for the Team Finals which start July 30th.
Hawkeye fans will want to keep a close eye on Lee because after the Olympics are over she’ll be bringing her gymnastic talents to Iowa City and attending the University of Iowa. She plans to become a dentist, like her mother.

The Toronto, Ontario native was a member of Team Canada at the 2023 Pan American Games, 2023 Pan American Championships, and the 2023 World Gymnastics Championships. Lee, 18, placed fifth on beam and 11th in the all-around 2024 Canadian National Championships in June.
