Iowa State Patrol names pedestrian who died after being hit by teen driver
MASON CITY, Iowa — A woman died after being struck by an SUV driven by a 17-year-old in Mason City Wednesday night.
A crash report from the Iowa State Patrol said Jade Quam of Mason City was driving a GMC Envoy southbound in the 1500 block of Plymouth Road around 6:12 p.m. when the SUV struck 42-year-old Jennifer Buls-Vrba, a pedestrian. Buls-Vrba, also of Mason City, died from injuries received in the collision.
The ISP says the investigation into the crash continues.
The Mason City Police Department, Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, and the Mason City Fire Department assisted the Iowa State Patrol.
