Adventureland opens Saturday for its 50th season
ALTOONA, Iowa — Saturday is the opening day for Adventureland’s 50th season. This year there are new attractions, food, and fun for visitors to the theme park.
The long-awaited revamp of the popular Underground ride will be open and there are two new places to eat: Oinks which replaced Rathskellers and the Falling Star Lounge which features the light-up sign from the beloved Falling Star ride.
Alex Payne, the Regional Public Relations Manager for Palace Entertainment, said that Adventureland is excited to welcome its guests back for the season.
“We’re excited to open our gates, let the guests back in here, and really see the reaction to all the changes we’ve had to really kick off our 50th anniversary season.”
Adventureland opens at 11 am Saturday and will close at 7 pm.
