Victims in Marshall County homicide identified

MARSHALL COUNTY, Iowa — The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims from an early morning homicide on Friday.

At around 1:45 a.m. Friday deputies conducted a welfare check at a home in the 2600 block of 182nd Street in Marshalltown. When deputies arrived on scene they found 28-year-old Mario Murillo and 33-year-old Frances Tillie Gasca dead.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Division of Criminal Investigations are now looking for 29-year-old Ilias Julian Lasley in connection to the deaths of Murillo and Gasca. Warrants for first degree murder have been issued for his arrest.

Lasley is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if seen, the sheriff’s office said. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Marshall County Communications Center at (641)754-5725 or the sheriff’s office at (641)754-6380 or online.
