Where to Watch the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Portland

In our opinion, the Women’s World Cup deserves more attention and enthusiasm than the controversial men’s version we kept hearing about last winter. This year, the top women’s teams from around the world face off in Australia and New Zealand over the course of a month (July 20–Aug 20). Women’s soccer deserves some extra fanfare, so join your fellow football enthusiasts at these places around town that will be showing matches. Plus, check out our World Cup calendar for a list of watch parties.

KICKOFF PARTY

Pioneer Courthouse Square (Fri July 21)
Presented by The Sports Bra and the Portland Community Football Club, this watch party for the World Cup Kickoff match against Vietnam will also feature pre-game food, drinks, and entertainment, including a screening of our favorite queer sports rom-com Bend It Like Beckham at 2 pm. In recognition of Vietnam’s participation in the World Cup for the first time ever, delicious foods from local Asian American spots like Mama Đút, HeyDay, and Matta will be on offer.
