Hutchinson wants to put $45M in surplus funds toward raises for law enforcement officers
Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Monday called for the Arkansas General Assembly to authorize using about $45 million in state surplus funds to make a one-time, $5,000 payment to each city and county certified law enforcement officer, as well as transferring $10 million in state surplus funds to the public safety equipment grant program.
