Walmart Taking A Big Step Toward Crypto As Walmart Is Looking For A “Digital Currency And Cryptocurrency Product Lead” Vacancy
The Digital Currency and Cryptocurrency Product Lead will create a brand’s digital currency strategy, define and drive the product vision, and identify and lead technology and consumer trends.
Walmart is seeking a blockchain and digital currency expert with 10 years of product experience. Amazon also posted a similar vacancy in July.
The new person will also be responsible for crypto investments and partnerships at Walmart.
Walmart job description says:
“As Digital Currency/ Cryptocurrency lead at Walmart you will be responsible for developing the Digital Currency strategy and product roadmap. As an expert in Digital Currencies/ Cryptocurrency and Blockchain related technologies, you will drive the vision for the product and capabilities roadmap. You will provide the leadership to identify technology and customer trends and the investments needed to build on those trends.”
Walmart’s job listings indicate that the giant corporation may be taking a closer look at crypto. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have grown in popularity over the past few years. This has led to increasing adoption by institutional and merchant users. Walmart, Apple, and Amazon are just some of the mega-corporations that are getting into blockchain and cryptocurrency technology.
