Rather than being pigeon-holed into one specific genre, Silvana Mass (vocals) and Justin Marshall (guitar and key) had the vision to curate a dynamic sound that acts as the distilled accumulation of their diverse musical tastes, resulting in both a united and expressive sound. Rooted in creative collaboration, Silvana and Justin lean on the inspirations and ideas of one another to create a wonderfully unique sound, full of character. The driving force behind each S.I.L. song is the purposeful product of improvisation.

About S.I.L.

S.I.L. is an emerging alternative rock duo based out of Orlando, Florida, with Silvana Mass on vocals and Justin Marshall on guitar and keywords. Founded in 2018 while at Full Sail University, S.I.L’s. defiance of identifying with one musical genre results in a playful, experimental sound that blends various influences. Releasing their debut album Sunshowers in April 2020, S.I.L. came into the scene with their thoughtful array of magnetic, heartfelt, and genre-blurring tracks. Silvana began her musical exploration with everything from Motown/Soul, Classical, even ‘80s glam rock, and R&B as helping influence her artistry and vocal style. Alternatively, Justin lists iconic guitarists like Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Page, and David Gilmour as his major creative influences.
