Perry High School student dies in drowning accident
PERRY, Iowa — The community in Perry is mourning a student who lost her life over the weekend.
Perry High School Principal Dan Marburger announced Saturday evening that Melanie Gonzalez died in a drowning accident. She was a senior at the high school. Details surrounding her death were not immediately available.
Counseling services will be made available to students on Monday.
