You would think this would be easier to find online but k can’t find anything….

It’s a quadra fire from 2005. It says steel online and it matte black

It has surface rust so I bought steel wool followed by wood burning stove polish (made for cast iron)

I’m guessing I screwed up

Any insight would be great.

I also bought high heat spray paint for the chimney pipe. Which is drying in the basement…..looks ok.

Polish did make things look better on stove top but afraid to burn anything
