Hey everyone. I am an idiot and I want to build a patio.

I have no idea what I am doing. I took several pictures of what I am working with. Basically, I want to build a patio with an aluminum (or any other kind of light metal) roof. I have no idea if I can work with what I have or if I need to take it all down. The dimensions are 12ft (length) by 30 ft (width). Any help would be greatly appreciated it.
