I’m looking to make a stand-alone air filter unit to reduce smoke while cooking. My kitchen has no windows and the hood range filter is insufficient, so I want something small and strong that I can put on the counter to quickly clear out smoke, and I want to use common filters so I can change them out as often as needed. Any suggestions here? I was thinking of using a 120mm 120v fan pulling air through a 12″x12″ furnace filter with a 12″x12″ aluminum grease filter in front of it. Should I get a fan closer in size to 12″? Or does that not matter if it’s a strong enough fan and there’s some space in between
