Hello Reddit. I recently brought my electric scooter out from the garage and found that the charger wasn’t working. After getting a new charger and letting it charge for a few hours the scooter would not start. After digging into it I found that the charger was supplying the correct 29V to the electronics. However when the battery alone was connected, the electronics would not power up. Measuring the battery battery while disconnected I found a voltage of 24V. When connected to the electronics the battery dropped to 12V. Hitting the power buttion dropped the voltage further to 10V. Holding the power button down brought the voltage all the way to 3V. Is the battery dead? I tried contacting the manufacture and they told me that I would need to send in the scooter at my own expense. The scooter is a gotrax glider.
