Executive Director – Arts Council of Princeton

The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) seeks a visionary and dynamic Executive Director to lead the organization’s strategic planning, programming, administration, fundraising and community outreach. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years experience. For over a half century, the ACP has presented a range of studio-based classes, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and community events for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Reporting to the President of the Board of Trustees, the Executive Director oversees a talented staff and collaborates with business, arts, and community leaders throughout the region. The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) is an independent non-profit organization serving the community as an artistic and cultural hub. Founded in 1967, the ACP nurtures visual, performing and literary arts in the greater Princeton area with its diverse programs and collaborations in support of its mission to build community through the arts. In its early years, the ACP developed a variety of initiatives including the annual Communiversity Festival of the Arts, which attracts over 40,000 attendees to downtown Princeton. In addition to this signature program and others presented in the community, ACP offers onsite classes and events in its multimedia art studios; exhibition galleries; and performance space.

In 2008, the ACP completed an expansion and renovation to its historic building. Originally constructed with funding from the Works Progress Administration, the ACP building was christened the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts and serves 46,000 visitors annually in its state-of-the-art facilities. ACP operates on a $1.5 million annual budget.
