MiniDSP Dirac House Curves!!

So, for those of us who are using Dirac these days (I am using a DDRC-24), we setup house curves quite differently than how one would do using tools such as REW. When I used REW, I used tools such as “Jazzi’s tuning companion for room eq wizard” and imported them into REW. With Dirac things are a little different and with a 2-Ch tune, its just the overall House Curve we need to deal with.

For now, I have done a hybrid curve between JBL Andy, and Jazzi’s. Mostly flat for the SUB, down to where my SUB will drop off (25Hz), then a nice dip in the 2-5Khz range, and a slight drop in high’s after that.

So far it’s working good, the 2.5Khz dip probably being the most important for MY ears. I do realize now that I need to either drop or cut the 20Hz one since my SUB is really dropping off around 25Hz.

I am still learning this, but figured I would post this as a starting point and we can all use this thread to share and discuss the various Dirac curves.

Now these curves are of course stored in a text file on the computer. You can modify them and load them into Dirac vs manually moving them around using the mouse and the curve line.

I think its cleaner and better using the files, but either way works.

Here is an example of the above curve

So please share the custom house curves you are using with Dirac as I dont think anyone is using (long term) the default curve since its mostly completely flat.
