Dimmer Switch Replacement Wiring help needed

I have a couple existing dimmer switches i. my kitchen that are older and don’t seem to work great with LED retrofit lights (random flickering etc). I replaced the first switch without much difficulty (it was also connected to a three way switch so took me a bit to figure out the wiring) but this other switch is strange. The existing switch is a leviton dimmer with only two wires coming from it. The wires appear to be the same color in the box. The new switch is a standard Leviton LED compatible with hot neutral and ground screws. Any guidance on which to wire to hot and which Neutral? Also while there is ground in the box why does the existing switch not have a ground connection? Do i just leave the new switch unconnected to ground as a result?

Here’s a picture it’s the middle switch I’m referring to the left one I already replaced and the right one is not being replaced.

Edit-as pointed out below i misspoke when i said neutral. it’s actually line and load.
