I’m about to epoxy coat the concrete floor in my garage. What’s bothering me right now is that everywhere I look I see people dipping a roller in a bucket and then rolling the epoxy paint rather than pouring it all out and then start spreading it with the roller.

Is there any reason not to mix the resin, pour it out and then spread it with the roller? Maximum processing time is 30 min according to the label, so I don’t see why I should waste precious time by dragging around the bucket and constantly dunking the roller in it.

My plan is to mix all the epoxy and quickly pour it as evenly as possible over the floor, then roll it while wearing spiked shoes.
