Wiring help?

Hi guys. I recently bought an induction plate as a flea bargain and I’m met with a wiring issue:

It’s got its cable snapped and no plug to get into a wall socket. No biggie, it’s £1 for a plug and it can easily be done.

However, I am concerned about the fact that the grounding wire (the middle one in the pictures below) is ‘unwrapped’, not isolated with coating like the other two. Is this going to cause an issue? Am I better off just stripping the grey outside coat altogether and isolating the grounding wire as well or is this normal?

Here are the pictures of the wire as is http://imgur.com/a/M3WyQ0Y Thanks!
