How to get a light-operated bathroom extractor fan working with an LED?

I have a pretty old extractor fan in my bathroom which is wired into the light fitting so it starts when the light is switched on then stops a minute or so after the light is switched off.

This has worked fine for years, using incandescent bulbs. But with both compact fluorescent and LED bulbs it starts but never stops. I believe (though I may be wrong) this is because CF and LED bulbs present an inductive load, whereas incandescents are resistive.

Is there anything I can do to get this to work as it did with LEDs? I had thought maybe there’s some way to put some sort of resistive load in series with the light, but I’m not altogether convinced that’s going to work even if it’s feasible.

Or do resistive LED bulbs even exist?

I assume newer bathroom fans are designed to work with LED lights, but I really don’t want to replace the fan as it’s pretty solidly attached and somewhat higher on the outside than I really want to be faffing about.
