Dryer vent seems to be 4.5 inches
So I went to connect dryer vent hose in new home. Worked great in old house, the dryer is only a year old. Somehow the vent pipe coming out of the wall seems to be 4.5 inches wide. It is also PVC, which seemed weird. Also I see plumbers glue/putty (the purple stuff) inside it. Did they not put some connector piece that brings its size down? Can I do myself or find some way to connect a hose/but new hose?
