Will this air compressor blow out my sprinkler system sufficiently?
I’m looking to winterize my sprinkler system which is on a half acre plot and has 8 zones. I tried to hire a company to do this for me, but apparently the only place to hook up a compressor for some of the zones is in my basement. Yes, my sprinkler system is terrible. I’ve spent a few hours researching air compressors, and I’m getting all kinds of contradictory information about what kind of air compresssor is needed.
- Does anyone know if this air compressor which is 30 gal, 175 psi, and 5.1 scfm @ 90PSI would sufficiently blow out my sprinklers?
- Would it be better to run it at 80PSI or lower (maybe 40PSI) to get a higher scfm?
If I must have at least 10 scfm, it seems like I would have to install a 220V outlet in my basement and purchase a much larger compressor which I would really like to not do. In advance, I appreciate the help; I’ve spent a lot of time looking into this.
