Kitchen drain plumbing in old house, how to vent?

We live in an old town in an old house and recently bought the house next to us for a great price, and are slowly working our way through renovations. The kitchen is the red headed stepchild of the entire project, it’s super ugly and laid out strangely and we really don’t have the liquid cash right now to spend much on it. Anyway, as it cannot currently accomodate a dishwasher in any capacity, I added a disposal that I got an incredible deal on a few weeks ago—it’s the illuminated Moen 1HP, I got it for ~$100 new in the box on ebay. Anyway, it has REAR discharge instead of side which is why it looks goofy in the pics.

Anyway–the challenges here are that the drain line comes into the bottom of the cabinet about 4″ from the right side wall, very far from center, and also only about 4″ from the rear, so very offset. The original drain setup was well thought-out but old and broken so I just replaced it all, it leaked all over the place with many broken pieces. It had been a direct connect from the baskets to a T, then down to another T that fed a non-code open air vent that had a mouthwash cap tied over it (for real, this fella had SO MANY USES for mouthwash caps…don’t get me started), then down to the S trap into the drain. Let me be clear here that code isn’t SUPER important here, but we’re on the 2012 version in case you’re strict.

Like a dummy I did it this way but didn’t incorporate a vent and now everything works fine but the first time you slam the disposal on, it chugs ground up food and water into the other basin. I think I can drop an oatey in the flat section but I’m out of my element here.

Any advise?
