When you play for the Los Angeles Kings, you have to live like one, too.

It’s no surprise many players on the NHL team flock to Manhattan Beach, CA, while the ink is drying on their million-dollar contracts. Now one of those supreme skaters is offering a tenant the chance to experience superstar life on the beach for a mere $18,500 a month.

Former Kings star Marian Gaborik has put his 4,260-square-foot home up for rent, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a place that captures SoCal living quite like it.

Steps from the beach, the home features views that stretch from the hills of Malibu to Catalina Island. Designed for outdoor living, the patio offers a water feature as well as a comfortable seating area and fire pits.

There are five bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and a den, dining room, and kitchen—all with ocean views. The kitchen-adjacent den overlooks a balcony, which features a built-in barbecue.

Gaborik, originally from Slovakia, began his NHL career in 2000 when he was selected third overall by the Minnesota Wild. He quickly established himself as one of the most dynamic goal scorers in the league.

After eight seasons with the Wild, Gaborik took his talents to Broadway and signed as a free agent with the New York Rangers in 2009. A few seasons later, Gaborik made a brief stop with the Columbus Blue Jackets before landing in Los Angeles. The veteran scorer helped the Kings capture the franchise’s second-ever Stanley Cup in 2014.

Currently a member of the Ottawa Senators, Gaborik is recovering from back surgery and pondering his NHL future after nearly 20 seasons on the ice.

His Manhattan Beach rental is being handled by Mori Biener and Vista Sotheby’s International Realty.
