Sub for a Tesla Model S?

A week ago I picked up a 2015 Model S with the base stereo system with no stock sub. A company called Audio Designs sells an enclosure for the hatch area that I’ll use to start with. It provides approximately 0.49 cu ft. and is large enough for 10 or 12 inch drivers.

It has been several years since I’ve shopped for a sub. A small box holds an 8 inch Sound Splinter RL-i8 in my truck with several hundred watts from a RF amp from the 90s. I love it, but know that they are long since discontinued. Last year I recently used a 15″ Dayton HO driver in a home subwoofer box. I like it as well so was leaning towards a 10″ or 12″ Dayton. The box only has room for up to 6″ deep drivers.

AudioDesigns sells Audiomobile GTS subs which seem to be pretty well respected, though I am unfamiliar with them. They’re also more expensive than the Dayton, but this isn’t going to be a cheap system to begin with. I plan to have around 500 watts to go to the sub. Other suggestions?
