As we near the end of summer vacation season, it’s time to start planning the perfect Labor Day weekend getaway. If it crept up on you this year, don’t fret! We rounded up the Top 100 Places to Stay in Texas. Whether you’re looking for your next great beach vacation, a weekend staycation in your city or an off-the-grid campout under the stars, there’s something for everyone on this year’s list. 

Austin is a top place for a staycation, with more than 20 businesses on this year’s list, and many others within an hour drive of the city. Favorites in Austin include the Fairmont Austin, where Yelpers love to relax by the rooftop pool and Park Lane Guest House, a women and LGBTQ-owned boutique bed and breakfast that boasts private gardens. These Austin spots join  El Cosmico (Marfa, TX), which was also named a top glamping destination by Yelp. Yelpers love the technicolor vintage trailers.

To determine this list, we identified businesses in the hotel and travel categories with a large concentration of reviews mentioning synonyms of “vacation” then ranked those spots using a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning “vacation.”
