Hugo Coffee Wholesaler Acquires Fluffy Cow Coffee to Expand Animal Rescue Efforts
Hugo Coffee Roasters has expanded its reach in the animal rescue world. The coffee wholesaler, which donates profits to saving cats and dogs, has purchased Fluffy Cow Coffee as a sister brand and taken on its mission to rescue abused and neglected farm animals.

Hugo Coffee Roasters is the go-to coffee for pet lovers nationwide with its commitment to donate a portion of its profits to supporting cat and dog rescue efforts. Now, it is expanding its mission to farm animals with the purchase of Fluffy Cow Coffee as a sister brand.
Hugo Coffee Roasters is known for its perfectly roasted organic, fair-trade coffee beans. Hugo started as a wholesale coffee supplier in Utah but quickly made a name for itself in direct-to-customer sales. Its roaster samplers, cold brew coffee, and single serve coffee pouches allow for a barista-level coffee experience in the comfort of home.
Claudia McMullin, the company’s founder, named the company for her own rescue dog and donates 10% of quarterly profits to animal rescue facilities and initiatives. She is excited to be expanding her company with the addition of Fluffy Cow Coffee, which shares her commitment to ethically and sustainably sourced coffee that benefits the animal world.
“In the fall of 2020, the founder of Fluffy Cow Coffee reached out to me via Instagram because he wanted to sell Fluffy Cow, and we had the same mission — to save animals,” said Claudia. “I jumped on this opportunity as a way of reaching more animal lovers — in this case farm animal lovers. I don’t care what animals I save as long as I’m saving animals. Like our tagline says: Drink Coffee, Save Animals!”
Fluffy Cow coffee supports animal rescue by donating to sanctuaries that provide a caring environment for small and medium farm animals that have been abused and neglected. Fluffy Cow roasts, which are aptly named “Deja Moo Medium Roast,” “Cowabunga Dark Roast,” and “Udderly Decaf,” will join Hugo’s dog-themed roasts (“New Trick,” “Howler,” and “Bonafido”).
Claudia left her job as a high-powered Wall Street lawyer to improve conditions for animals. She ran a pet rescue and adoption shelter called Nuzzles & Co. before launching Hugo Coffee to raise money for animals through delicious, ethically-sourced roasts. Her wholesale clients in Utah include St. Regis, Montage, Blue Sky, and University of Utah, and she has a rapidly expanding internet clientele for her cold brews and biodegradable single serve coffee bags.
“My dream is to have a world where there are no unloved, unwanted, abused, or neglected animals,” said Claudia.
