National water storage levels on a decline

South Africa’s national water storage levels have dropped to 59.2%, compared with 64.1% during the same period last year, as many regions across the country struggle to recover from the prolonged drought. “South Africa’s full water capacity is about 32 012.2 cubic metres, and currently we are left with 18 950.7 cubic metres of water,” said Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation Minister Lindiwe Sisulu in a statement on Wednesday.
