Steel bushing between brass and copper

Hey guys. Just wondered if I should be concerned with this.

Had a repair to our hydronic heat system which has an on demand boiler. The low water pressure sensor had to be replaced.

The tech came with the replacement part and needed to put in a bushing as the new one was 1/4 thread and the old was 3/8”. The only one available around here was black steel type.

I believe the pipe it goes into is either brass or copper, and the sensor threads looked like brass.

I asked about rust being a concern and he said it wouldn’t be a problem. But should I be concerned? It’s a closed system so minimal oxygen will be introduced. And it’s a very small part that is exposed to the water inside.

It’s a real pain to get to, but I could probably replace it myself with a brass one if needed. But would rather not if it isn’t really necessary (for the longevity of the system and the sensor).

Thanks!!
