Have a pair of Piccolos just sitting in a box. Had installed them in the factory dash locations but replaced them with GB25s. This brought most of the soundstage up and across the dash. Big improvement for the midrange. But the highs are not very good. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with surface mount pods – maybe something like the guy on eBay from Germany offers. Seems to me that tweeters should be run on-axis. Looking to experiment with designs.
