Wall upholstery for insulation: advice?

Hi folks, There’s a wall under the window in my bedroom at my parents that seems thinner than the rest and gets quite cold. I’m not there long enough to do anything major about it, and wondered if I could just upholster it (maybe using insulation wool?) . Interior advice online suggests wall upholstery can be done, but doesn’t mention anything about insulation, and insulation advice mentions that conventional methods can cause damp but obviously doesn’t mention upholstery. Is my idea just a bit unorthodox, or is it totally inadvisable?

Notes: the wall is otherwise not damp. I know insulating this one wall probably won’t do much overall because the window is bigger, but it’d be nice for the wall itself not to feel cold. To do the upholstery, I was thinking of just making a frame, attaching the frame to fabric, and sandwiching the wool directly between fabric and wall. If not insulation wool, I’ll just use regular upholstery foam.
